As a member of Indiana Businesses for a Clean Energy Economy, you will be provided with tools to ensure that your voice and your perspectives are heard. IBCEE will generate public attention for your business, provide opportunities to speak to key Senators and House members on the subject of energy/climate change legislation, and keep you up to date on important news related to clean energy and climate legislation.
Principles
Members of Indiana Businesses for a Clean Energy Economy agree to the following set of principles:
• A national cap on carbon will help to stabilize our economy, while creating new jobs and opportunities for investment.
• Energy efficiency and energy diversity both foster a strong and growing economy.
• The transition to the new clean energy economy will provide both urban and rural communities with significant new market opportunities.
• When it comes to climate change, we must act quickly and decisively to avert the most severe economic and environmental impacts. The most expensive thing we can do is nothing and the second most expensive thing we can do is delay action.
